Kherieh Rassas
President of Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED) and Vice President for International and External Affairs, An Najah National University.
Dr. Kherieh Rassas has been elected President of UNIMED (Union of Mediterranean Universities) on March 17th 2023 for a three-year term. Kherieh is also the Vice President for International and External Affairs at An-Najah National University since 2007 and a Board Member of An-Najah University Hospital in Nablus, Palestine. Served as the Personal Advisor to Former Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah (2013-2019).
Kherieh initiated legislation for several laws. Kherieh completed her undergraduate studies of Optometry from Paris Sud France, and her postgraduate degrees from Durban South Africa and London City in the UK. Kherieh also holds LLB Law from Tel Aviv Israel. Kherieh worked as a practitioner, academic, advisor, consultant, and in senior positions. Decorated by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2005 (serving Sister Grade V) and knighted by President Macron Ordre National de Merite in 2021. A is a mother of 4 children and speaks 5 languages.
